  • Does McClure's offer Duct Cleaning

    No, We personally don't offer duct cleaning because we don't believe in it. There are other companies that do offer duct cleaning. Normally your filters should take care of all the dust and dirt anyway. Make sure to change them out at least monthly or if they are really dirty.   • What should I do to maintain my HVAC system?

    McClures does  offer a regular maintenance program! we also offer Cleaning Services and drain unclogging. Most of the maintenance can be done by the homeowner if they so choose such as,

    • Changing filters Monthly
    • Pouring bleach or Vinegar into the drain cleanout.

    Note* if using Bleach make sure to Pour Bleach into the drain SLOWLY, wait 5 minutes, and then Slowly pour hot TAP water to backwash it. This only needs to be done in early spring and early fall.

    Vinegar is the same process just every month.

    • Rinsing off Condenser/Outdoor Unit at least twice a year

  • How long should my HVAC System Last?

    Usually, a system should last anywhere from 13-18 years. It depends on where you live and the weather conditions. Living close to the ocean can cause your outdoor condenser to flake, and deteriorate. If it has been maintained it should hold up to its expected lifespan. Heat and air work great but when I had a thermostat fail, they were able to address the problem quickly and dealt with the aftermarket company directly so I didnt have to. And above all that, by my own fault, caused and issue with my air handler. Mr. McClure was willing to have a rep come out and address the situation at 8:00 PM on a Saturday.
